I want to mute the scene
Stop the clocks
Turn them off, and feel your silence.
Shut them out, plug my ears
And I wanna hear of somewhere you're down and out.

And I'll let separation
My watch is when you leave for the last
In a conscious moment
I could live in a certain regret here in the past.

Mine shoots blanks, memories, and more
You clearly made me think that I had something to live for.
Bury it in the dirt
So I will dig and pull the weight
For once a relief and name you gratefully.

Our worlds ran parallel
An indefinite promise to meet, divided.
And I call it frustration
As I anchor the boat to greet unsubsided.
